‘Rounds Found Around’ is a selection of images shot on my morning walks, primarily in the East Village where I live; I frequently photograph abstractions of discarded things I find on the street.  This selection of images are categorized by their graphic nature and round shape.  Included are rusted stove burners, weathered manhole covers, crumpled pie pans, and broken wheel covers against textured backgrounds.  They are all presented looking straight down, and I've paired them as having something in common with their partner. The two images create a dialogue amongst each other and between decay and the remnants of their original forms.  They make a stronger statement together than they would apart.  Presented is the beauty in overlooked everyday objects, highlighting their textures, shapes, and the passage of time in urban environments.
