A hidden world beneath the snow--on the left, a metallic rim emerges, like a moon peeking through a clouded sky. On the right, a fading ring left by a trash can suggests an eclipse or planetary shadow. What was once mundane now feels cosmic, turning the streets into a celestial canvas.

This pairing is the most subtle of the collection with only whites and soft grays. The left-hand image is the ring of some utility valve cover in the sidewalk peeking through the soft texture of snow. The right-hand image is one of many that I shoot of the residue left behind on the sidewalk when a city litter basket (that has been there awhile) has been moved. To me these images suggest some celestial body, and this particular one has a slash in the upper corner bringing to mind a comet or meteor. Even the snow image has a planetary feel.

Print Info

Just the Print:  Archival pigment print (giclée) on a heavy weight fine-art matte paper.  Paper used is the industry standard, Hahnemühle Photo Rag.

Acrylic: Print is face-mounted to 1/8" thick digital grade acrylic and rear-mounted to dibond, having a float aluminum cleat subframe. Ready to hang.

Framing is available upon request.
