A diptych of fractured radial structures, a wire mesh form and a weathered bicycle wheel...exploring balance, fragmentation, and urban remnants.

Radiating lines created by spokes is what pairs these two objects together. They are also mostly monochrome (with some subtle browns areas). The first I have no idea what it is; someone suggested some internal part of a hubcap... regardless it was a wonderful find, especially since it came from midtown where you wouldn't expect to encounter such an object. It was plastic and I love all the chunks broken out from the edges, creating overall a jagged irregular shape. This is paired with an abandoned bicycle wheel on a motley, gum-scarred sidewalk surface. It is not uncommon to see bicycle wheels left behind in my neighborhood, where the rest of the bike likely was stolen. The rusty red center nut was an appealing detail.

Print Info

Just the Print:  Archival pigment print (giclée) on a heavy weight fine-art matte paper.  Paper used is the industry standard, Hahnemühle Photo Rag.

Acrylic: Print is face-mounted to 1/8" thick digital grade acrylic and rear-mounted to dibond, having a float aluminum cleat subframe. Ready to hang.

Framing is available upon request.
