A diptych juxtaposing consumption and disposal, featuring a red beverage in a cup and an empty blue trash can.

This pairing focuses on the colors of red and blue, the first being looking down into a glass of unknown reddish liquid found on the street on a textured base, the second a blue garbage can with red construction gloves left along the edge and showing a bit of red and yellow striped rope through the handles. The light in the glass glistens and the diagonal line of the straw draws the eye inwards. The gloves on the garbage can have a nice gesture, they almost seem alive. The shape of the shadow has interest as well. This is another diptych that required a lot of work to get the colors to more closely match.

Print Info

Just the Print:  Archival pigment print (giclée) on a heavy weight fine-art matte paper.  Paper used is the industry standard, Hahnemühle Photo Rag.

Acrylic: Print is face-mounted to 1/8" thick digital grade acrylic and rear-mounted to dibond, having a float aluminum cleat subframe. Ready to hang.

Framing is available upon request.
