Two figures cross hand-in-hand through a Chinatown intersection, their legs and sneakers blurred with shared momentum as a passing car slides through the background. Shot from the level of the pavement, the image reduces the street to its most immediate elements — moving bodies, asphalt, and the dense signage of Canal Street receding into the middle distance.
Part of Susan Bowen's People Walking series, exploring movement, stride, and the rhythm of the city.
